  The Examinations Committee of the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy - Naturopathy (BDDT-N) is responsible for administration of the qualifying examinations for naturopathic doctor candidates in the province of Ontario. Since 1991, the BDDT-N has used the Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Examinations (NPLEX), as well as the NPLEX Add-on exam in Acupuncture. The NPLEX are administered by the North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners (NABNE). Successful completion of the NPLEX exams is required by all regulated/licensed jurisdictions in North America. In addition, the BDDT-N requires candidates to pass the Ontario Board Examinations which are administered by the BDDT-N. The Ontario Board Exams consist of the Ontario Jurisprudence (written) exam and three practical exams in Acupuncture, Instrumentation/Physical Exam and Naturopathic Manipulation. The Ontario Board Examinations are held twice each year, in February and August. For NDs intending to practice parenteral (IV) therapy in Ontario, the BDDT-N requires candidates to successfully
complete the Parenteral Therapy Certification Examinations which are administered by the BDDT-N.
Candidates for these exams must have previously completed a Parenteral (IV) Therapy training course.

The Parenteral Therapy Exams are held twice each year.
